Go On A Cultural Adventure To Cradle Of Human Kind, Lesedi Cultural Village

Lesedi is a multi-cultural African Village, set amongst the pristine Bushveld and rocky hills less than an hour’s drive from the city of Johannesburg. The village consists of a number of different homesteads or traditional villages: the Xhosa, Zulu and the Pedi. Rhino & Lion Park

The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve on the typical Highveld of Gauteng. Visiting the successful breeding project of white Rhino’s, introduction of Lions, Cheetah’s and endangered Wild Dog. De Wildt Cheetah & Wildlife

De Wildt is a wildlife conservation project focusing on the preservation of endangered species, in particular the cheetah. Since 1974 Scientists at De Wildt have been studying and successfully breeding cheetah and other rare animals for release into the wild. The station is set in the bushveld of Magaliesberg.

Sterkfontein Caves & Maropeng

Sterkfontein Caves was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000. As an archaeological site, it is the richest site in the world for early hominids, and the area has become known as the Cradle of Humankind. You can descend deep into the complex set of limestone caves, to the edge of the underground lake, learn more about the importance of the site as an archaeological landmark. Visit Maropeng, the fantastic new visitors center opened in December 2005 by President Thabo Mbeki.
